    I am saddened to learn of Dr. Kirkpatrick’s passing. I wrote my doctoral dissertation on the usage and value of the four levels and during the process Don was very generous in giving me his time and feedback. I had the privilege of co-presenting the results of my study with him at an eLearning Guild conference in 2007. Perhaps we can all best honor his memory and legacy by working harder to implement the very valuable but much underutilized levels 3 and 4 and show how our learning solutions can truly influence behavior and get real business results. “Ave atque vale” dear colleague!
