Carol Leaman

President & CEO

Carol is responsible for driving the overall strategic direction and Axonify’s commitment to revolutionizing employee awareness and corporate learning. Carol brings more than 20 years of leadership and technology executive experience to the company as she has a history of building start-ups into multi-million dollar successes.

Most recently, Carol sold PostRank to Google after growing the company from a cool, free web tool, to a unique, customer-centric social media play in 2011. Prior to PostRank, she helmed RSS Solutions (enterprise class manufacturing software), and Fakespace (a high-end virtual reality company). She took Fakespace from $3 million to $30 million in revenue before orchestrating its acquisition in 2003, and sold RSS Solutions in 2006.

Carol brings her experience and insight to numerous boards, is a much sought after keynote speaker and has won multiple awards, including the Waterloo Region Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Intrepid Award (2011).

Christine Tutssel

Vice President of Sales

Christine leads the Axonify sales team and is responsible for driving the organization’s overall sales strategy. With over 25 years of sales and sales management experience in the high-tech industry, Christine has worked in a variety of market sectors including finance, banking, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, transportation and logistics, and retail.

Prior to Axonify, Christine spent two years assisting tech start-ups in building and executing their sales and go-to-market strategies. Previously, she was Vice President of Sales at Covarity, a software provider specializing in enterprise solutions for the banking industry. Before Covarity, Christine spent seven years at Descartes Systems Group, a leading provider of software and network based solutions for transportation and logistics, where she held a variety of sales and sales management roles.

Christine is a committed community volunteer and is most active with the Kitchener-Waterloo Youth Basketball Association and the Canadian Cancer Society. She resides in Waterloo, Ontario with her family and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Phil Menary

Vice President of Development

Phil brings over 20 years of experience to his leadership role and is responsible for the Axonify technology architecture, all aspects of product strategy and managing software development.

Prior to Axonify, Phil held the role of Director, Software Engineering at Sandvine. Previously, Phil was Vice President of Engineering at LiveHive Systems, Vice President at Diskstream and Director of Software Development at RSS Solutions, where he helped migrate their client/server based solution to an n-tiered enterprise solution. He was also instrumental in arranging a successful corporate acquisition by a larger U.S. firm.  In his impressive career, Phil has held positions as Technical Specialist at Sun Life and as Director of Software Development for CheckFree Corp.

Phil is Chairman of the Board for Mornington Communications Co-op and holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Laura Martin

Vice President of Marketing

Laura is responsible for building and executing Axonify’s marketing strategy, and brings over 20 years of experience in B2B technology marketing, specializing in early- to mid-stage organizations. Before joining Axonify, Laura headed the marketing team at Covarity Inc., where she was responsible for launching and executing all aspects of marketing into the financial services industry.

Laura also held senior management roles at LiveHive Solutions, a digital media solution, RSS Solutions, a manufacturing software organization and Ironside Technologies, a B2B e-commerce company.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, and is a co-founder of Avonova, a local technology group.
